I would like to share with you some of the many letters I have received from clients we have photographed.  Please take a minute to see what others have thought of the Trident Photography experience.  Many thanks to those of you who took the time to write your letters.

Jeff

Jeff from Trident Photography was the most professional and personable of all the photographers we met with before we made out choice. He was the only one who had come prepared with samples of his work for review. We were sold when he showed us the sample album, it was awesome.

On the wedding day, Jeff was punctual and professional. He got all these great shots and still managed to blend into the background. The array of different shots he took were amazing, (most I would not have thought of). Jeff had no problem doing whatever it took to get the shot; climb a tree, lay on the ground, whatever it took.

We received numerous comments on the quality of Jeff's work, but one comment stood out. We were told that our photographer was not just a photographer, he was an artist.
This describes the photos very well. In our album we have 30 pages of shots but I don't think there are 2 the same. Every shot is different while still coming together to tell the story of the day.

Jeff had all the right equipment that a photographer should have, as well as an assistant. If you talk to a guy who only has a digital camera, run away. It takes talent and the right equipment to make the shot.

We found Jeff's pricing was on the higher end of the photographers we met. You will find cheaper, but after the day is done and all you have left is the photos, you will be glad you spent the money.

The family photo captured by Jeff Hilbrecht of Trident Photography this fall, is and will most certainly remain the favorite photo of my life.

This is a grand statement coming from a camera happy person that has not only worked as a model in the industry for many years but has subjected her family to numerous photo shoots from a vast variety of professionals. Yet, it is so true.

When hiring a photographer, one always hopes that perfect picture will be achieved…the one that reaches far beyond primped bodies nicely positioned in vibrant scenery. I have great expectations: I hope to see a record of my family's spontaneous interactions, the spirit and character of my children and the Love between us…This is indeed what Jeff captured as he saw and shot the extraordinary in the ordinary!

In the end there were too many perfect shots to choose from, but the one we did decide to hang in a prominent spot is the most looked upon piece of art we own, and by far the most complimented by visitors.

When they say pictures can capture the moment of a special day….well, they are correct!!

We couldn't be happier to have booked Jeff Hilbrecht from Trident Photography for our Wedding on March 22, 2008. The pictures that Jeff took completely captured the mood of our wedding. They put a smile on my face every time I look at them and take us back to our very special day.

I was able to enjoy my wedding day and not worry about if all the memories would be remembered on film. He got some wonderful candid shots. I can honestly say I barely saw him during my reception however when I look at my pictures there are so many wonderful shots and I wonder how and when he got them because I don't recall seeing him?? Whatever was happening Jeff was right there to snap a picture. Now, that's a great photographer.

I truly believe that Jeff has a unique ability for photography that showed in they type of pictures we received. There was so much creativity & uniqueness to the type of pictures, I was completely impressed.

Jeff, thank you for all the memories that you captured for Clyde and I. We will have a lifetime of wonderful keepsakes.

My husband and I first found out about Trident Photography when we met Jeff at a friend's wedding he was photographing. After seeing the quality of his work and meeting with him we decided that he would be our photographer for our wedding. We did not take picking a photographer lightly as wedding pictures are something that people want done beautifully because they will be something you have for life. We chose Jeff because he impressed us right from the beginning.
In planning our wedding there were some things that concerned us and other things that caused us no worry. Jeff was someone who we felt comfortable with from the start and we were not worried about whether or not he would do a great job. Jeff was extremely professional and helpful throughout the planning stages of our wedding. He made our engagement session fun and put us at ease about being in front of a camera for a long period of time. . After our engagement session we were positive that the quality of our wedding pictures would be excellent. We were not disappointed.
Our wedding day was special for so many reasons and one of the reasons was Jeff. He went above and beyond his duty as a photographer and simply blew us away with his commitment to making the day very special for my husband and I. Jeff is someone who takes his job as a photographer very seriously and we know that he planned the photographic shots that we were to take the day of our wedding. His photo-journalistic skills gracefully captured the essence of our wedding, the enjoyment of the guests, and most of all, the love between my husband and me. Each shot was beautifully taken and once we saw the finished pictures we were in awe of how wonderful they turned out. They were everything we hoped they would be. Everyone that we have shown our wedding pictures to has commented on how impressed they are with them and how unique and beautiful the shots are. Therefore, these comments are not just my opinion.

To whom it may concern:
My sister and her husband hired Trident Photography two years ago. Knowing them, they are probably the toughest people to satisfy, and do not want anything but the best, and knowing that Jeff surely did not disappoint them, as their wedding album is displayed right on their center table, when my wife and I got married last May, choosing a photographer was one of the easiest tasks, for we already knew who we were going to trust in making sure our special day would be captured and captured perfectly. We were lucky enough to not worry about problems like the photographer not showing up, being late, and not dressed appropriately, for we knew that if he is good enough for my sister and my brother in-law, he is surely good enough for us. The only worry we had was to ensure we got Jeff for our wedding. So we made our bookings a year in advance. The one part of our wedding that I wasn't looking forward to at all, but my wife couldn't wait for, was the formal photo session. I usually find it too long, too boring and too repetitive. However, on the wedding day, Jeff was very well prepared, did his homework, and probably recognized that I wasn't really looking forward to the photo shoot. So instead of the long boring session I thought we would have, he made the photo session completely opposite to what I had expected. He made it very romantic, very spontaneous and very fun. Some of the things he made us do was unheard of, the kind stuff that only pro's can pull off, and being awesome at what he does, the pictures look amazing and unique.

Thank you very much for the incredible work and outstanding service you provided in taking our wedding photographs. From getting ready to the wedding ceremony, right through to the wedding formals and the reception, you and your team were an essential part of our big day. Our wedding day was such a special day for both of us, and we feel that your presence contributed greatly to that.

We were impressed with your professionalism right from the first meeting. You talked to us about what we wanted in a photographer, and patiently answered all of our questions. You helped put us both at ease with your gentle nature and sense of humor. The day of the wedding you helped out in so many ways that I felt like I had a photographer and wedding coordinator in one. You and your assistants helped make our day run smoothly, from helping me pick my earrings, helping my mom tie my dress, fixing our bouquets before the ceremony, carrying my train from location to location, and helping us stay calm during our little set backs. We were even more impressed when we received our photographs. They were truly unique, creative, and absolutely stunning. Our parents were overjoyed with their beautiful parent albums, and we have received so many compliments from our wedding guests on how lovely the pictures are and how wonderful you were on the wedding day. This letter is in regards to Trident Photography. We hired Jeff to capture our wedding memories and map out our wedding day, for September 13 of this year.

When Jeff arrived the day of the wedding, he immediately put the wedding party and close family members at ease. Almost immediately he recognized and addressed all the participants by their name and thus encouraged them to participate in the day's unfolding events.

While getting ready though we could hear the camera there was no obtrusiveness in the shots he was taking. His helpful demeanor was comforting and much appreciated.

During the ceremony though we were aware of his presence around the happenings, he was virtually invisible to the other guests and everyone commented on the way that he was professional enough to not interfere with their own photo taking.

As the day progressed Jeff's creativity and photography professionalism became abundantly apparent, creating an anticipation to see the final product.

We were extremely pleased when we requested different posing and alternate shots; in the way that Jeff not only accommodated but also artistically add to out requests. Our wedding party and we as the Bride and Groom never seemed to feel "over posed" and there were no complaints of having to smile too long or remain in one place too long. While taking the posed portraits, everyone had a lot of fun and there were many genuine laughs. In the public location where we were, many passerby people stopped to take photos of the poses Jeff arranged us into. This was a very big compliment to us and further created a sense of anticipation towards the finished portraits.

By the end of the evening, we were thankful for Jeff's help throughout the day and for capturing the little details that were the planned accents of the day, as well as the moments that might not have been remembered without a photographical view of them.

When we received the proofs of the photography Jeff had taken, we were tickled by not only the number of proofs that were presented to us, but also the beauty and creativity of each and every pose.

As members of the photography community ourselves, my husband and I are, I am sure, difficult to impress. Jeff accomplished this and much more... He gave us a sense of completion for our wedding memories and a perfect ending to cherish forever.

Dear Jeff,
We are writing this letter to thank you and your assistant for the wonderful job you did as our wedding photographers.
We were both very stressed on the wedding day, and the heat was sweltering. As a result, we were worried about how the pictures were going to turn out. But you seemed to capture us at all the "right" moments and in all the right poses during the ceremony and the formals. As a result, we look great in all the photos and the photos show us enjoying what will be one of the best days of our lives.
We also want to say that you did a great job capturing the "feel" of our reception. The timing on all the photos was great, and you used some interesting angles too. We particularly like the shots you did of our dance floor, and of one of the tables clinking glasses in a toast. We also want to thank you for the engagement photos, and the photos of us with our parents and grandparents together.

Dear Future Brides and Grooms:

My husband and I were married this past August 2008. We knew from the beginning that choosing our wedding photographer was going to be one of our most important and difficult decisions. We found Trident Photography in Wedding Bells magazine under Edmonton wedding photographers, along with at least 30 other ones. We looked through all of their websites, but the photojournalistic style of Trident Photography stuck out in our minds. We met with only two photographers after narrowing down the list to our top favourites. We met with Jeff and instantly found that his personality made us feel at ease, it was important to us that on our day we looked natural and this could only happen with someone we felt comfortable around. We had our engagement photo session and were extremely pleased with the photos, so we knew we had made a great decision.

On our wedding day Jeff and his assistant Ryan were on time, professional and extremely helpful even with tasks that they were not required to perform. Thanks for helping me put on my shoes in my huge wedding dress Jeff :). During the formal photo session, the pictures were taken fast and yet all of the pictures turned out absolutely stunning with minimal effort on our part. We finished earlier than expected and had many different angles of pictures thanks to their efforts.

At our reception we had arranged in advance to have the professional wedding pictures from the day on display on a slideshow screen as the guest were arriving. Jeff and his assistant chose the best 80 images of the day (so far) which must have been a feat in itself because they were all so beautiful. All of the guests thought our pictures were so unique and amazing that many of them asked for a reference for their own children's upcoming weddings.

After the wedding Jeff promptly mailed us out our images on a DVD so we could have them all forever. He emailed us layouts of our album and met with us soon there after to iron out a few changes we had in mind, which weren't major since it looked so beautiful already. We were emailed the changes and sent them off to get made, we should be receiving them soon (one for us and 2 for our parents something that no other photographer that we looked at offered). We are excited to receive them, and know that they will be perfect!

Jeff made our wedding day photography feel effortless and relaxing even on a day as hectic as a wedding. We recommend him to anyone who wants great pictures that are unique and do not look posed or old fashioned; as well they were comparable in price to other photographers but with added bonuses of professional albums.
